2026 International Literature Festival Dublin

Sun 24 May, 11AM

On Sunday May 24th I’ll be talking about my latest book. All in the Mind: Your Brilliant Brain will take the audience on a tour of the brain and nervous system, look at how our brains are all wired differently and how some living things manage without one. Plus, put your brain to the test with teasers to show how your brain works (and sometimes doesn’t) in real time!I’m delighted to be returning to Boswell Book Festival at the beautiful Dumfries House, to talk about All in the Mind on Sunday May 10th. Come along and find out just what your brain can do – and how to confuse it. Test your memory and find out if you have a supersense you didn’t know about…

All in the Mind

Released 21 May 2026

Our brains control our moves, feelings and personality. They let us tell jokes, play sport or create art. They make us ‘us’ – but how? Find out how your brain communicates with the rest of your body, how we’re all wired differently and how some living things manage without a brain at all. Put your brain to the test with puzzles and teasers and see how it works (and sometimes doesn’t) in real time!

With bold and buzzy illustrations by Lauren Humphrey and published by Templar Books, All in the Mind will be out in May.
